Pediatric Drug Chart (Broselow / Length-Based)

Medication ReferenceUpdated Fri Aug 14 2026 19:00:00 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)

Source & verification: “L02 Med PED Vol” (Pediatric Broselow-Color Coded Drug List, by Volume and by Dose) plus the reference concentration key on its final page. Every dose and volume below matches the source document exactly, and was cross-checked against the reference concentration for that drug (e.g. Adenosine at 6 mg/2 ml). Every value checked out. One real inconsistency was found in the source itself, flagged inline in the Blue zone below rather than silently resolved. Ketamine is not included here: see the separate Ketamine Dosage Chart, which this document itself refers to. Confirm the concentration you actually have on hand matches what’s listed before drawing up a dose, and verify against your agency’s own medical direction before use.

Match the patient’s measured length (or estimated weight) to a Broselow color zone below.

Reference concentrations

All doses and volumes on this page assume these concentrations. If what you’re holding is mixed differently, the volumes below will be wrong. Recalculate from the dose instead.

⚠️ The source document’s own “by Volume” pages and “by Dose” pages disagree with each other on this one number: 150 J on one, 140 J on the other, for the same zone. Every other value on this page, including every other energy on this row, matches between both source documents. Confirm the correct 2nd+ defibrillation energy for this zone with your agency’s own medical direction rather than trusting either number here.
